Intrinsically Safe Lighting

Intrinsic safety (IS) is a protection technique for safe operation of electrical equipment in hazardous areas by limiting the energy, electrical and thermal, available for ignition. An intrinsically safe torch has been designed and then tested against becoming an ignition source in a flammable atmosphere. Standard electrical equipment will often have tiny internal sparks between switches, connectors and more. Such is eliminated through simplifying or sealing circuits.
